Cooking ... hmmmm .. yummy food

One most beautiful hobbies which in turn helps back is cooking. I, being a beginner just an year back, had not entered the kitchen even with severe scoldings of mom. But now, out of necessity I see the enormous interest built up in me. Initial mishaps with cooking - burnt vessels, high flames, fire fight, weird taste foods, unknown dishes - all were part and parcel of everyday cooking. Now the situation changed with me getting close to a professional cook ( Do u believe it? :) ). Various dishes with recipes from all directions have become a routine. Now that me and my roommates had parties at home where we cooked for several of our friends, I have got accustomed to cook good food.

Drizzle

The Sun is usually in its full power reaching 100 Fahrenheit in the midst of summer. Coolers, umbrellas, sunblocks, sunscreens became part of life routine. The dazzling brightness of the afternoon sun just pierces through the eyes. In the midst one day in a sudden burst came a light, sweet drizzle... cooling everything with its sweet smile, filling the air with its beautiful fragrance. you could see the cheer on people's summer burnt faces. The roads wet and damp... wind blowing cool.... with a hot coffee mug in hand.. it was awesome. The trees enjoying the drizzle, leaves dancing with joy... wonderful sight to see.
Just like this drizzle in summer which cools down the burning heat.... small happinesses in people's lives makes them come out of their severe difficult conditions.
Hoping a drizzle of happiness to everyone who reads this ... :)

Solitude

Having always been around with friends and people, being alone depresses me from within. But if it is the best option then nothing much can be done about it. A point of time comes in everyone's life where they feel even if everyone is around them, they feel the loneliness. Usually solitude helps you divert mind to various other things like gaming, reading novels, watching movies, and off course writing blog. (if you are thinking at this stage about my state of mind... may be u guessed right)
Every moment in life has a meaning associated with it. Every thing happens for a reason. I believe to take life in a strong way, whatever hurdles pass by.

Trip to Six Flags

The excitement started by getting up early in the morning, getting ready waiting outside my friends door hurrying them to get ready. Hurriedly packed foods and drink, all dressed up with caps and coolers caught the bus at the right time. Our journey consisted of bus, train, finally car with which we reached the entrance of Six flag. My friends R, his girl Friend A, RG, S and me sighted people around and wondering and imagining rides. In the excitement came a call to RG for an internship... :) . The moment we entered, RG and S were completely holding the map to different rides. The twists and turns , the heights and screams, the joy, the fun, the shouts filled the environment, increased the enthu. Meanwhile my friend R and his gf A busy by themselves we didnt disturb them much. One first thing which caught attention was a ride which fled through water so we decided to go on it. Drenched with water from top to bottom we continued to the next ride. Then the funny thing happened, me S and RG ended up sitting in one cube on a ride. S was reluctant to take off his cap and was very confident that it wouldnt fall off. The moment the ride started the cap flew which made me and RG to burst out to laughter. In the right moment R took a snap of us from other cube. Was fun to us but S was getting troubled with the loss of cap :D.
Catching up on other rides like Texas giant, Titan, superman and so on, we all had covered most of the rides. Our excitement did not die, only added each time. We had nice fries and made sure not to eat too much. I needed the most of the energy as I used to shout and scream in each and every ride. My throat died at the end :) , but was full fun.
The rides were nice and amazing.. gave us a lasting experience for a lifetime :)

Christmas Holidays

Just finished the deadlines with exams and projects, I suddenly felt free with absolute vacuum in mind..... christmas holidays began. First few days were a terrible feeling... although it had to be full entertainment time. Sudden change of plans occurred when my roommate decided to take me along with her to her sister's home. Then there began the daily routine. But it was fun to have spent time with relatives -as I assumed them to be , after a while of spending with friends and being far from home. Eating well, sleeping well and going around places became part of the schedule . Then there came the new year bash with downtown celebrations. Finally the trip ended with me coming back to my home sweet home and enjoying with friends again. Just awaiting the tension for the next semester to begin.

Straight Enemy is better than a ditching friend

An important thing to always take care in life is to have friends in a careful way. There are people who stay with you to identify your pitfalls and dig your grave. Just always be double careful of choosing friends. An enemy directly attacks, you anyways wont have any belief on them so it doesnt hurt much... but if a close friend takes advantage of you and hurts you, you can emotionally hurt too which makes you feel weak. The best way to deal with these situations is to not have too much expectation from anyone

Masala Dosa ..... mmmmmmm ...yummy!!!

Ask any South Indian about their favourite dish .. 90% of them answer Masala Dosa :)
Even the mention of it lets my mouth water. Dosa with its toppings , potato curry inside, sambhar and chutney are a treat to the eyes and feast to the tongue . Easy to make.. tasty to eat is the caption for it. It is so famous that there are dosa camps which are mobile and people flock to buy those.
Rich class , middle class or poor class go in for a plate of dosa. Made from rice flour, its healthy.
How, i used to enjoy standing next to my mom and wathching her prepare the dosa was the most enjoyable moment in life. I miss all those days as my diet has changed to pizzas and burgers. I cherish the days.. hope to grab dosa as soon as possible :)

Classes, courses, professors

One might wonder what's the big deal in classes , courses and professors. But it does make a big deal of difference on the place where u stay and place where you earlier had stayed. Coming from a place where everything is predefined and everything is theory oriented to a place where everything is your choice and everything is practical make an enormous difference. What you study and how you study depends entirely on you. You will have to work out on a combination of classes, courses, professors and timings before you actually get into a class .

Tutakhamund - The king Tut exhibit

Then inbetween the busy schedule soon after exam got a chance to visit the Dallas museum. Speciality included the king Tut exhibit. You may be wondering who King Tut is . You would not have the least idea if you are unaware of the great Egyptian Pyramids. Yes, Tutakhamund ... King Tut for short, is one of the most famous mummies as he was a boy king at 9 years of age. The exhibit depicted the life style of kings that time , the treasures they had with them, the lifestyle . how they were treated. King Tut was treated as the "Living God" . He had a mysterious death at the age of 19. His pyramid was the richest of all pyramids. His Pyramid lay unexplored for almost around 3200 years before they were discovered.

First Month of Excitement

New place, new faces, new culture, new food, new air, new friends, new home, new lifestyle everything filled in lot of curiosity in me. Exploring all these kept myself pretty busy for the first month. More time goes in comparing things.. how they differ back in India. Everything i saw filled me with excitement. I was surprised to find more than half the student population were desis. So far everything fell in place. Deadlines , exams , quizzes, projects, funtime, everything has been good. Hope to have it continued before life becomes monotonous...

List of Games which are "SPOORTHI"

SPOORTHI is the sports and games tournament organized at office. Although I had no active participation during School or coll days I was hyperactive at office (probably the missing days of coll forced this ) . Let me provide you a short update of the various events:
First and foremost - "Our Cricket" . Who the hell said that girls cannot play physical games? We outsmart guys in it. We as the "Juggernaut" team played a smashing game at the final but had to be contended as runners. We won a cup.
Then comes the Table tennis tournament with singles , doubles and mixed doubles. Same applied to Badminton .
Then there was this Dart game which showed my poor aims .
There were also games like the Tennicoit game, throw ball, carrom, chess
There was a scrabble game which proved my english worth to myself ;). Not to mention more about the result here.
There are also games like football and basketball where only guys play.
Girls prefer the mini football - an indoor game , which usually doesn't tan them :D
Apart from this there were Quiz competitions, Picture competitions and lot more.

Hope this makes the person reading this post jealous enough :)

My first CAR driving experience

I ate to my throat level to gather up strength to hold the steering, then had a big glass of orange juice. I even energized my mind by being egoistic. Went timidly to the driving school with my mom. I expected a full length theory session about driving and driving rules and ruled out any practical experience for the day. The person incharge asked us to wait for a while, later guided us to a red Maruti 800 waiting for me. My instructor was sitting next to the drivers seat and my mom comfortably occupied the back seat. This made me nervous and in the same while my instructor asked me to take the drivers seat. My heart missed a beat, my mom was tensed too. Then he asked me about my driving history and started explaining the various important parts of driving a car. I started cooling down even in the stifling heat of the sun. Suddenly after the explanation he asked me to turn the key! Added to my horror, we were on Mysore road with heavy traffic . The instructions given were continuous and my both hands and both legs were in full action. Slowly i eased out, felt the car was too simple.... got accustomed to it. I had a nice big drive and slowly returned back. My timing was complete. Thank God we reached safely. A real great achievement in my life.

Mail forwards

Forwarded mails are the most common these days especially in the curriculum of an IT professional. Bulk of these usually irritate us but there are many which could contain momentous information. Pictures, facts, humor, comparison, criticism, forecasts, antediluvian things are some examples of the types of these. Lack of work , boredum at work are overcome by these mails. Not all of them assume the same importance, there can even be some nonsense mails which irritate you. My recent obsession is reading up these mails and forwarding those to many.

Reasons 'Why' people do not share their knowledge

There are many reasons for people to show no communion towards knowledge. Some of them include :

>Firstly they are not confident of the knowledge they have and are quite introverted

>Sharing of knowledge leads to "loss of importance" when it becomes a common pool

>They are aware of the knowledge they have and consider it unnecessary to share among others as they are able to accomplish tasks

>Some others consider it a waste of time

Psychiatrists

Came across this in some blog, felt interested so i have posted it :

How do two psychiatrists greet each other?

''You are fine, how am I?''
